ALTA – American Land Title Association

With headquarters in Washington, D.C., The American Land Title Association^® is the national trade association and voice of the abstract and title insurance industry. ALTA^® members search, review and insure land titles to protect home buyers and mortgage lenders who invest in real estate. Nearly all title insurance companies hold ALTA^® membership, in addition to abstracters and title agents. Nearly 3,000 title agents, abstracters, and title insurance companies are active members, ranging from small, one-county operations, to large national title insurers.

MBA - Mortgage Bankers Association

NAHB – National Association of Home Builders

The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) is a trade association that helps promote policies that make housing a national priority. Since 1942, NAHB has been serving its members, the housing industry, and the public at large.

NAR – National Association of REALTORS^®

The National Association of REALTORS^® is America’s largest trade association, representing 1.2 million residential and commercial REALTORS^®, who are brokers, salespeople, property managers, appraisers, counselors and others engaged in all aspects of the real estate industry. Members belong to one or more of some 1,400 local associations/boards and 54 state and territory associations of REALTORS^®. They are pledged to a strict Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice.

NREIA - National Real Estate Investors Association

The National Real Estate Investors Association is a trade association made up of local associations or investment clubs throughout the United States. They represent local investor associations, property owner associations, apartment associations, and landlord associations on a national scale.

PRIA – Property Records Industry Association

The Property Records Industry Association (PRIA) works with the government and businesses to address issues of common concern in the world of property transactions.
